This super easy greek inspired seasoning can be used on a variety of things like meats or vegetables. I used this seasoning for souvlaki (meat on skewers) but feel free to use it for whatever you like. I used chicken for the souvlaki and served the kabobs over Near East's mediterranean medley brown rice and quinoa mix.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon oregano
2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons marjoram
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon tarragon
Steps:
Combine all ingredients and sprinkle over your choice of meat or vegetables.
For the souvlaki:
Cut chicken breasts into one by one inch cubes. Drizzle with one tablespoon olive oil and one teaspoon balsamic vinegar and rub greek mix over chicken. Put chicken cubes onto a metal skewer (or wood skewers that have been soaked in water to prevent burning).
Grill chicken skewers and serve!
